Section B: Situational Writing
You are advised to write between 180 and 250 words for this section
You should study the information on page 2 carefully and plan your answer before beginning to write.
You have seen the ‘Fun and Fitness’ website and would like to apply for a place in one of the sessions in the December event. Write a letter to the Organiser telling her which sports you are interested in and why you think that you would benefit from taking part in these activities.
you must include the following details:
- Your first and second choice of sports and why you have chosen these
- The day and session for which you are applying
- What other sports you already play in or out of school
- How you think you will benefit from a ‘Fun and Fitness’ session.
Write your letter in clear and accurate English and in a polite and enthusiastic tone so that the Organiser will feel happy to offer you a place in one of the activities. You should begin your letter: Dear Mrs Chia… . Remember to end it appropriately.
You may add any other details that might be of interest

FUN AND FITNESS are holding a two-day event for students aged between 14 and 16, on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th December 2017. There will be morning and afternoon sessions, each lasting about 3 hours.

Choose from abseiling, archery, badminton, basketball, football, golf, kayaking, netball, rock climbing, table tennis, tennis or ultimate frisbee.
