Poster Layout:

  1. Title/ Header: “A new school facility! We are looking for your views before the final decision is made. which facility would you prefer? Email the Principal at newbuilding@school.sg to give your views” – This should be bold and centered.
  2. Images:
    • Divide the poster into three sections, each representing one of the projects.
    • A Science and Technology Building: Student doing experiment

  3. Project Titles and Descriptions: Below each image, include the project’s title and a short description:
    • A Science and Technology Building: “- New science laboratories with the latest equipment and technology. – 2 large and spacious IT rooms for teaching and private study, open at lunchtime and after school. – 2 workshops featuring robotic-aided design equipment to encourage budding scientists. – Computer-aided design and manufacture software on all computers”

The Principal of your school has announced that there will be an exciting new building project to develop a new facility on the school site. Three ideas for the facility have been shortlisted and posted on the school website. Before making the final decision, the Principal has invited any students who would like to express their preference to write an email to explain their views

Write the email to your Principal to explain your views. In it you should explain:

  • which facility you like best and why
  • in what ways this facility would benefit you personally
  • how this facility would benefit the whole school
  • how this facility would make the school more attractive to parents.

Write your letter in clear, accurate English. Your tone should be polite and persuasive, showing your enthusiasm for this new development.

You should use your own words as much as possible.
